Build agents

Configure your AI agent's personality, product knowledge, and response rules.

Overview

An Opsfly Agent is the AI that responds to your customers. It's configured entirely through a system prompt — a plain-language description of your business, products, and response rules. No coding required.

This page covers how to write an effective system prompt, configure response settings, and tune the agent's behavior for f-commerce use cases.

How it works

Each Agent is powered by an LLM (large language model) that reads your system prompt before every conversation. The system prompt is the agent's memory — it contains everything the AI knows about your business. When a customer asks a question, the agent reads the prompt, reads the conversation history, and generates a reply that follows your instructions.

💡 Tip: Test your agent with 10 real questions from your most recent conversations before going live. For every answer that's wrong or incomplete, update your system prompt — not the model settings.

Step by step

Prerequisites

  • At least one connected platform
  • Your product catalog with names, prices, and descriptions
  • Your policies: delivery areas, payment methods, return policy

Configuration

Builder → Agents → New Agent → name your agent → select connector → write your system prompt. A good system prompt has four sections: (1) business overview — what you sell and who your customers are; (2) product list — names, prices, variants; (3) policies — delivery, payment, returns; (4) behavior rules — when to ask for confirmation, when to escalate to a human, what to do if a product is out of stock.

Next steps

Once your agent is live, set up Autotasks to add background automation on top of your customer support.
